This month the theme for Project Ten is glitter. This was a challenging theme for me on a few different levels, the first being that I don’t like glitter. It’s terribly messy and I can say with candor that there is no part of my life or personality that could be described with the word glitter or accentuated with actual glitter.
Ok, so I’m not glittery….that’s fine. I was still confident I could think of something to represent glitter. I did, but they all required littering or a time investment I didn’t have this month. So, in the end I sat up some lights on my patio and had my wonderful husband throw glitter at my face. He also helped in lots of other ways, as being covered in glitter, blowing glitter around and then getting that timing just right is hard to do when you’re the subject and photographer.
I have glitter dandruff now, so ….. it was fun.
While I try and get all of this mess cleaned up you should check out Jami’s take on glitter. It’s beautiful and pristine, and I’m glad I can enjoy her work from my warm and toasty living room.
