Ypsi Project : Bonnie Penet (by ericarhiannon )

I met Bonnie at a ribbon cutting event for the Freight House last summer and in our brief conversation learned that she came to Ypsi in 1979 when she bought her home on Huron. It was in such disrepair that she didn’t share the news with her father until the purchase was complete. Now one of the historic gems in Ypsi . Like her husband, Ed Penet, she has worked tirelessly through Friends of the Ypsilanti Freight House to preserve and make the Freight House viable once again. Recently she has opened up a cute little store named MIX .
