Ypsi Project: James Marks (by ericarhiannon )
James is the founder and creative director at VG Kids. If you check out the about section on the VG Kids site you’ll be told the story of how VG Kids came to be and how it ended up in Ypsi. You can even check out the cool stuff they make. It’s a neat story and the whole VG Kids team is amazing. But, there are two little things that you won’t know about James from the about section of his company. Two little things that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He decided to open up the print shop in Ypsi for lots of reason, but a big factor was that his future wife (Ruth) was here andshe didn’t want to leave. While we were sitting on their deck talking about this and other Ypsi things it was adorable to see the two of them reminise a bit about the past. When I asked James what his favorite thing about Ypsi was he said it was the Huron river….that on top of the great community, friends and such, the river was always a source of calm and has kept him here on a couple of occasions when he wanted to leave. Perfect answer, right? I know.
